The image is what I call a Vato, dude,  a term that Margret Garcia said was “vulgar”. Words evolve in time. I am eighty’s Vato. It is an outline image of a stout figure with a bandana and with clench fists, plus other things. It radiates with curvature pointed flames. An image I would see on ancient coins. It is a recurring image I use. I had to keep my image alive while spending a great deal of my time reading, teaching, and grading. An image that I remind myself why I enjoy doing what I do.

Vato, the original title was “My Egoistical self", a painting exhibited at Deleage Galley at Casa0101 in 2014.
